Maria Vadia, Founder and Chairman

The Glory House of Miami came into being in obedience to a dream the Lord gave Maria Vadia to care for survivors of sex trafficking. Maria is the current Chairman of the Glory House. She is committed to making Jesus known to the nations by the preaching of the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and has been active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Archdiocese of Miami. She takes the message of faith, salvation, and healing throughout the world. Among the many nations she has ministered to are Malta, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, New Zealand, Canada, India, Poland, Italy, the Caribbean, and throughout the U.S. Her foundation ‘The Glory of God’, led by the Holy Spirit, is helping build houses for the Pygmies in Kabale, Uganda. Together with Fr. Tom di Lorenzo of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Winthrop, MA, she sponsors the School of the Holy Spirit and Days of Glory conferences. Maria has authored seven books: “There is Power in Your Tongue”, “Pressing on in The Spirit”, “An Arrow in His Hand”, “Healing is for You”, “Break Open Your Wells”, “Victory in the Eye Gate”, and “No More Orphans”.


 

 

Betty Laura

Betty Lara, Executive Director

Betty worked in the corporate business world for more than 30 years. During that tenure she managed large accounts, established project guidelines, implemented internal information technology needs, and set up support structures in several major U.S. corporations. Consequently, she opened her own Real Estate Development business and was in charge of all the Operational development.

After working in the secular world she shifted to assisting the Senior and Executive pastors of a large church in Miami in the Administrative field.

Betty has traveled extensively with her husband Dr. Rene Pelleya-Kouri to Cuba, Ecuador, Switzerland, Tanzania, Puerto Rico, and Uganda, teaching the word of God and healing. As ministers they have lead a group teaching the word of the God and praying for those that need healing.

As Executive Director for Glory House of Miami, Betty is now taking all the experience she has gained throughout the years to build the internal structure for Glory House of Miami.


 

Pastor Al

Pastor Alfredo Castro, Ministry Relations Director

Pastor Alfredo Castro completed his undergraduate education at the University of Miami and Florida International University, with one year of medical school at U.N.P.H.U. in the Dominican Republic. He then underwent three years of Pastoral Biblical studies at Concordia Lutheran Seminary. Subsequently, he was ordained by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and was called as Senior Pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church in Miami, Florida, where he served for almost seven years. He was assistant Pastor at New Jerusalem Church in Miami, Florida, as well. Currently, Pastor Al serves as a volunteer Chaplain at Agape Women’s Rehab Center. During the last seven years, he and his wife, Ivonne, have embarked on a street ministry in the South Homestead Florida area, distributing food and clothing, offering pastoral care and mentorship to low income families, homeless people, and victims of street prostitution. Through this service, Pastor Castro and his wife have seen first-hand the horrors of human (sex) trafficking and felt God’s calling to minister to these victims. Pastor Al is on the Board of the Glory House of Miami, where he holds the position of Ministry Relations Director, and he and Ivonne are active volunteers at Glory House. They have been married for over 25 years and have two children.


 

Maria Colon

Maria Colon, Chief Financial Officer

Maria Colon, the CFO of Glory House, has a Bachelor’s degree is in Accounting, a Master’s in Business/Accounting and a CPA degree. Maria worked in Public Accounting for eight years as an Auditor after graduating from college. Subsequently, she went to work at a Food Distribution Facility, where she started as Manager of the Accounting Department. During her tenure of 22 years at that company she stepped into the role of Chief Financial Officer and served in that capacity until the business was sold. She is currently a self-employed CPA. In addition to her position of Chief Financial Officer for the Glory House, Maria is actively involved in the ministry of the house.


 

Valli Leone

Valli Leone, Prayer Intercessor Groups’ Leader

Valli has shared the Gospel and the love of Christ by serving throughout the years at Agape Family Ministry, where she led Bible study and participated in the Prison evangelization ministry; served in Street Evangelism with personal ministry/prayer with drug addicted and same-sex individuals ; assisted in Deliverance prayer ministry; contributed in Isaiah Ministry; partook of National Evangelization Teams; and been a Hospice volunteer. For the Archdiocese of Miami Valli has worked in the Lay Ministry, serving on the Board of Charismatic Renewal, Life in the Spirit Seminars, Magnificat Service Team, Engaged Couples and Marriage Ministry, Prayer Group leader, Engaged Encounters  Facilitator, Council of Catholic Women, CCD Teacher to Youth, Lector, and Eucharistic ministry.
